ABOUT INTEGRITY KUNG FU

Coach Qingbin Chen (Coach Chen) started his Kungfu journey in China when he was six years old. By the age of 17, Coach Chen had trained in several professional Wushu teams in China, such as Zoucheng Sports School, Shandong Sports School, and the Shanghai Sports Team.  In 2003, he received a special enrollment at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) because of his outstanding professional performance. Throughout the course of his 28 years of career in professional Wushu, Coach Chen has received more than 20 nationally and internationally recognized awards such as International Wushu and Dance Invitational, China National University Wushu Competition, and more.

After receiving his Master of Education Degree from Springfield College, MA, the Birthplace of Basketball, Coach Chen became a PE teacher at DC International School, a world IB school located in Washington D.C. He designed the school’s Wushu/Kungfu curriculum in accordance to the U.S. national middle school physical education standards and the Physical Education Requirement of the International Baccalaureate Middle Year Program. The curriculum he created was considered a unique contribution to Wushu that enriched the lives of all the middle school students in DC International School.  He also took his students to local Wushu competitions where they not only physically mastered their Kungfu skills, but they also internalized concepts that shaped them to be the first generation of Integrity Kungfu disciples.
 
Besides shaping his students in Integrity Kungfu to be new masters in this art, Coach Chen also spends his time coaching the Wushu Kung Fu Team at University of Houston, where the team members prepare and actively compete in the U.S. Wushu/Kungfu Collegiate Competitions in the standard and advance levels.
